Ari's Book review: The question of God
In his book, The Question of God, Dr. Armand Nicholi does a comparative study on the theories and beliefs of C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud. The author does a good job at unearthing the personal and public realities that encompassed the world views of Lewis and Freud. Freud of course, holding the materialist world view, whereas C.S. Lewis held the spiritual world view. Neither of the two were novices in their fields, but as you read this book you'll discover that NO ONE is an expert on life. Not even the experts. Life holds way too many complicated issues for anyone of us to assume that we have it nailed down. I found the final chapter on death, and how these two men related to it quite intriguing. In short, the book was a good read, with an honest tone to it.
