Voice recognition

It is incredible that modern technology has made it possible for electronic devices to recognize voices. I remember how a cell phone I once owned was able to call any programmed number by simply speaking to it. Among  God’s people this ability to recognize voices couldn't be more timely. No matter what demands may be placed upon us, we must know the voice of God and recognize it as the only viable source of direction for our lives. Why? Because our lives depend on it.  The apostle Paul spoke of people who had become shipwrecked. In my short years in the church, I have witnessed this shipwrecked state among many. Somewhere, somehow people get the wrong voice in their heads. Attention is the key to life. We have to pay attention and catalog the moments when we know God has spoken to us. We can then reference those moments to help us when were struggling to make choices in complicated situations. God desires us to know his voice and will be consistent in his approach towards us. He is not the author of confusion, but of peace. The image above is of a painting called, His master's voice. This little dog is not the only one privileged enough to have his master's voice on record. We too have our Master's voice on record. The Bible is our sure word of prophecy. We should never underestimate the Bible's ability to speak to us when all else fails. It has been said that the Bible is not just a book, but a voice. We can know our Master's voice and live a life of clear direction. I am sure of this.
